90 Sharpies = 3500 Bible Verses On our Nursery Wall

I started this challenge of writing 1 bible verse for every 20 followers on our daughter's nursery wall before she was born back in March. Through that challenge, I have shared the complications we were having with this pregnancy and that our daughter, Haven, was diagnosed with Full Trisomy 18, a life-limiting condition. The genetic chromosomal condition affects roughly 1 in 2,500 pregnancies and most don't make it to full term. In July, baby Haven passed in utero at 33 weeks. Some people have asked, "why would you document this and put it on social media?". Its because we received 100's of DMs from other couples and families that have gone through something similar and it helps them feel less alone. That's been our mission with creating content from day 1. To be authentic and vulnerable amidst the highs and lows of our lives so that people know, there's another human on the other side of the screen and that we aren't meant to do this life alone. Despite our excitement when we initially got the pregnancy news and my hope to make cool dad content, not every pregnancy ends the way we want and its affected countless of couples. I took a long pause on writing these verses but I owe it to you guys to finish the wall. This season didn't make us trust God any less, even though we don't understand it. In fact, we've had to rely even more on his peace, joy, and comfort because we know these hard moments are just the result of His gift of free will and sin entering the world.
