🍎🫖This Apple Beauty Tea recipe was originally inspired by the viral “apple beauty water” made popular by Chinese actress Zhao Lu Si. In TCM, cooked apples are considered easier on the digestive system than raw apples because cooking softens their fiber. Gently simmering the ingredients also helps release pectin, vitamins, antioxidants, and polyphenols, making these nutrients easier for the body to utilize. Combined with jujubes, goji berries, and ginger, this tea is a comforting and hydrating drink that nourishes from the inside out and supports that healthy, natural glow. ✨ Ingredients & Benefits: • Apple: Helps nourish the lungs, clear heat, and provides antioxidants, vitamins, and fiber • Jujubes: Traditionally used to nourish the blood, support immunity, and promote vitality • Goji berries: Rich in antioxidants and traditionally used to support liver and eye health and healthy aging • Ginger: Warming and soothing, while supporting circulation and digestion 🍎Apple Beauty Tea Ingredients: • Water 2 cups • Apple 1 medium-size • Ginger 1 thumb-size piece • Jujubes 5 • Goji berries 1 Tbsp • Optional: Honey 1 tsp Steps: 1. Heat water in a pot over medium-high and bring to a boil. 2. Wash and thinly slice apple. 3. Wash and thinly slice ginger. 4. Deseed jujubes. 5. Add apple, ginger, and jujubes to the pot and bring to a low boil. 6. Cover, reduce heat to low, and simmer for 15 minutes. 7. Add goji berries. Simmer for 5 minutes. 8. Sweeten with optional honey before serving. Enjoy! Notes: • Optional: Add chia seed pudding for added fiber and a “boba” like texture. • Any apple works. I prefer Honeycrisp or Fuji. • No need to peel apple or ginger. • You can drink the tea and also eat the apple, jujube, and goji berries.
