already spent $22,000 on a six week European trip and we haven't even left the country yet. And here is exactly where that money is going. I am a former travel agent, I'm also a type A girlie, so I prefer to book everything in advance. I plan my itinerary to the second. So I don't miss out. And I book in Australian dollars, so I know when I get over there, this is exactly how much spending money I have. We spent just shy of $3,000 on flights. We booked our long haul flights with our conscious frequent flyer points, so we just had to pay for taxes and carrier charges. Did we utilize our points to their full potential? No. Unfortunately, we didn't have a lot of flexibility with our dates, so we kind of had to book what was available. But we did save a ton of money and that's more than covered the cost of our two internal Europe flights. And that's round the world tickets. We're flying from Adelaide to Singapore, Singapore to London, Amsterdam to Vancouver, and then Vancouver back to Adelaide. So quite literally round the world, plus our two internal flights. $3,000. I think that's pretty good. We pre-booked car hire and also a bunch of trains. I love train transport. Will I be saying the same in six months old in Tokyo? Probably not. But that's come to $1,483.75 so far. Accommodation, $15,669.37. Which might sound absurd, but we are travelling with our baby, so we're prioritizing ease of location. If we are staying in a hotel, booking something with a little bit more space. That has come to a total of $15,669.37, which might sound absurd, but we are going for 47 days. That works out to an average of $333 a night, which is pretty, pretty typical. And then for activities, we booked one of the Harry Potter studio tours, that's $251.73. The Original Good Walk of York, that's $42.50. Department of Magic, $1,038.89. Liverpool tickets, $670.00. And Disneyland Paris, $670.00 for two days. Two parks. The full Monty.
