Today is the day I am putting the money down on my first home. I owe $194,000. Let's celebrate me going broke and going back into debt. Before I press submit, two things. Number one, my final interest rate is 7.25%. That's bananas because I have an 809 credit score. And my parents bought their house at like a 2% interest rate. What the hell is this? Number two, my closing date is officially August 14th. The seller is actually going to stay in the house for two weeks. I can't move there until like September.
