My fifth day in Mexico City was definitely my favorite. We got picked up at 4:15 AM and headed out about 45 minutes out of the city to our hot air balloon ride over the pyramids. They provided us with coffee and tea while all the balloons were getting set up. I don't just realize these and it was pretty chilly but the fire definitely helped. I think when we booked this excursion, I wasn't really thinking about it. So once we were up there, I kind of forgot I'm a little bit afraid of heights. We were up really high. At one point we were literally in the clouds, but it looked unreal. I literally felt like I was in a movie scene. And I'm not gonna lie, I was a little bit scared of the landing. I almost got taken out by cactus. That was fun. So it was so crazy to see how many people it takes to land this damn balloon. We finally landed and it was time to toast to surviving. We got our cute little certificates and then it was finally time for breakfast in a cave made fully out of volcanic rock. After eating, they provided us to throw all our negative energy into and leave a new person. The last part of the tour was walking the pyramids, which was so cool to see from above and on the ground. This entire experience was so incredible and I'd definitely do it again. We headed back to our Airbnb to nap, one before one last run at Odiloco Tacos. I miss them already. After grab El Moro Churreria, because they were giving them out for free courtesy of Harry as a thank you for tour, but right when we got there, the promotion was over, so I ended up paying. But I don't really care because they were definitely worth it. We found a cute store, I came home with some stickers and then it was time for second dessert. Do not judge me. It was my last day. We spontaneously decided to go full tourist mode and get on a tour bus around the city and it was so much fun. It was super windy and cold up there, but worth it. We said goodbye to Harry and goodbye to Mexico. And we ended our night with the sounds of rain and thunder and it was a perfect way to end our trip.
