And four months of real, hands-on focus is exactly what it takes to go from "I use ChatGPT sometimes" to building AI employees that work for you around the clock. The calendar is literally offering you the window. Here's the plan: SEPTEMBER → foundations, fast (what a model / automation / agent IS — a few evenings), then build one boring automation with no AI in it. By month's end, something you built runs without you. OCTOBER → put the brain in the middle. Email comes in, AI reads it, decides, drafts, routes the tricky ones to you. Build three or four on your real work. Ugly is fine. Running beats pretty. NOVEMBER → your first AI employee: connect it to your tools, write its skill file, give it memory, a schedule, and a brake so the big stuff waits for your yes. One real job, running daily, sharper every correction. DECEMBER → multiply. Copy the pattern — inbox employee, research employee, content employee. Then New Year's Eve hits: everyone around you is making resolutions about January… and your team is already running. The honest part: they're real months.
