Stop forcing one-sided relationships. Have you ever stopped reaching out to somebody just to see what would happen? And then you realise that if you don't call them, they don't call you. If you don't initiate the plans, then you may never see them. And that type of behaviour hurts, especially when it's somebody you really care about. Because now you're wondering, was I the only one keeping this relationship alive? Listen, I'm not saying that everyone has to communicate the same way you do. People get busy, life happens, and I understand that. But there's a difference with somebody being busy and you constantly being the person that's always putting in the effort. At some point you have to stop forcing the connection just because you have a history with someone. Sometimes the hardest part is accepting that a relationship can mean a lot to you and still not be what it used to be. That doesn't mean you have to be angry, you don't have to fall out. You don't have to make a huge announcement that you're done. Sometimes you just stop doing all the work. You take a little step back and allow people to show you what the relationship looks like when you're not carrying it all by yourself. And whatever they show you, believe it. Because you deserve relationships that people are checking up on you too, where people think about you too, where you don't always have to be the one keeping everything together. Stop chasing the connection. The right people will always meet you somewhere in the middle. Follow me If you're learning how to stop forcing relationship that only work when you do all the work.
