Before you walk into work today, remember this. You don't have to walk in there and immediately start working like everything's an emergency. And I know some of us do it. You haven't even put your stuff down yet, and you're already thinking about the 15 things that need to be done. You're answering everybody's questions. You're fixing something somebody else didn't finish. You're running around just trying to get ahead. Listen to me. Slow down. Slow down. Everything doesn't have to get done within your first hour of being there. Go in and get yourself settled first. Figure out what needs your attention first, and just handle one thing at a time. Because sometimes we put the pressure on ourselves that no one asks us to carry. And then we wonder why we're completely drained by the time we get home. You don't have to prove that you're a good employee by running yourself down to the ground. You can still be dependable. You can still work hard. You can still care about doing your job. But you need to pace yourself. Especially if you're that person that everybody comes to cause they know you get the job done. Just because you can do everything doesn't mean that everything has to be your responsibility. So when you walk in today, don't walk in there like your ass is on fire. Do your job and do it well, but pace yourself. You have a whole shift ahead of you. Now follow me If you need these little reminders every single day. Cause you know I got you.
