We put her in the backyard and let the dogs out and they gave her her space immediately. Dogs can sense things. I think that they saw right away she needs to be handled gently. Hi, baby. Roo, you're a cutie! Come here. Roo was left with all of her littermates Katie in a crate in a backyard Katie for however many days Katie in the middle of a heat wave. Katie. Hi, honey. Roo has, gosh, the most beautiful eyes Meaghan. I think I've ever seen in my life. Meaghan. They call out to you. It's like, "Please help. I need you." A few hours earlier. We went and picked her up, and her and one of her siblings were brought out. It's like everyone just kind of gasps. How is it possible that something could be in this state? Her first week, she didn't really have any strength. It felt like we were hurting her just to touch her. She had so many firsts with us. Everything is so new for her, so I'm sure, for her, very overwhelming. This is for you! But, like, even, through all that she's been through, it's nice to see that she's taking the world on with a curiosity instead of a fear. Yeah!!!! Can you sit? Such a good girl!!! Darwin gives off this aura that's just, "Hey, it's a safe place here. If I can be this calm and relaxed, so can you." She just bonded to him, and that's where you would always see her go to find naptime. He just is such a good boy. After that first week, it was a huge turnaround.
