This is your friendly reminder to not believe every social media influencer you see. So a couple weeks back, there was this New York City influencer who went to Kawaii Cafe in the West Village, and she left a fake review, a terrible review, basically saying the coffee was terrible, talking negatively about it. And another creator named Dadi Snacks actually called her out. Found the receipts, found camera footage, she never actually went to that. That girl has since ripped apart. But what I is a good, and I was in New York City, so I decided to go try Kawaii Cafe myself. And I went, it was really, really cute. The owner was, was kind of, and her energy was just so, I loved it. They're known for their Vietnamese iced coffee, which you can't go wrong with. The Vietnamese iced coffee is one of my favorite types of coffee. But to me, the best judgment of a place is not to get what they're best known for, but to get to see if I got the regular latte with vanilla bean paste. And my friend got a strawberry matcha. My vanilla bean paste latte was so delicious, so flavorful. But to me, Kawaii Cafe was a 12 out of 10, not because of my coffee, but because I had a sip of my friend's strawberry matcha. And I hate matcha. I think it tastes like grass. But this matcha was delicious. I would have ordered it myself. If you're ever in New York, I personally recommend Kawaii Cafe. I thought it was delicious. I would go again.
