Hands down the best Philly and quite possibly the best sandwich I have ever eaten in my entire life. Beast from the East in Salt Lake City, Utah and I need every single person to go immediately. We started with the traditional Philly and were absolutely blown away. They use a cheese called Cooper Sharp which is the most melty, most delicious, most incredible cheese situation I have ever experienced. The flavor is just on another level entirely. The crab fries (sport fries) are seasoned with an amazing bay seasoning blend and come with a Cooper Sharp cheddar dipping sauce. Obviously incredible. We also tried the buffalo chicken sandwich which uses their house buffalo sauce and was so so good, and the Backyard Brawler which has local roast beef and turkey sourced from Logan, Utah. Every single ingredient here is so intentional and you can taste that in every single bite. But what made this visit truly special was getting to know Megan and Kris who own the spot. They walked us through the stories behind every picture on their wall including their engagement photo taken in front of the Rocky steps. They are big time Rocky fans and this place has such an incredible nostalgic energy that matches perfectly with just how good the food is. We are officially their number one fans.
