One of the best kept secrets and best values in all of Utah and I have been sitting on this one for eight years 🍣 Sakura in Chinatown, South Salt Lake, Utah and I genuinely cannot believe more people do not know about this place. First thing you need to know - you have to ask for the all you can eat menu. It is not automatically offered so just ask for it when you sit down. Here is how I always do it. For starters I get the mushroom soup, the green salad, the gyoza, and the spring rolls. I order both the rice and the noodles because you get a full serving of each which is honestly such a great hack. And then I drizzle double yum yum sauce over the rice and it is so so good. For the main I always do the five dollar filet upgrade. Always. You get your own full filet and the quality difference is absolutely worth every single penny. You can also upgrade to lobster and other options but the filet is my personal forever order. They also have sushi with a ton of different roll options. No substitutions or customization allowed just so you know going in. One important thing - if you overorder they will charge you for a box. So be smart about it and do not ruin it for the rest of us. Eight years of going here and it has never once missed. And while you are there explore the rest of Chinatown because there are some great treat spots all around.
