I see the argument all the time: “Do I really need a personal page and a separate business page?” And the truth is, building two pages is HARD. It means creating content twice, showing up twice, building two audiences and sometimes feeling like you’re starting from scratch all over again. So I understand why some business owners choose to put everything on one page. And for some people, it works perfectly. But depending on the kind of brand you are building, there may come a time when you need both. For years, I focused almost entirely on building ByKeerah. I barely took my personal page seriously. And sometimes I think, if I had intentionally built both from the beginning, imagine where both pages could be today. Last year, I decided to start taking my personal page seriously, and the difference has been eye-opening. The insights. The conversations. The engagement. The community. It is completely different from what I experience on my business page. And it makes sense. People connect with businesses, but they relate to PEOPLE. Your business page is where people see what you sell. Your personal page is where they understand who is behind it, how you think, what you believe, what you are building and the journey that comes with it. And sometimes, that connection becomes one of the biggest marketing tools your business has. So if you are a business owner reading this, don’t ignore your personal brand while building your business brand. You can be your brand’s first ambassador, first influencer and loudest advocate. And the beautiful part? Your personal brand doesn’t have to be only about your business. Build your name. Build your voice. Build your community. Build something that can stand beside your business, not disappear inside it. And if having everything on one page already works beautifully for you, you don’t have to change it. There is no single formula. Different things work for different people. But whatever you choose, build intentionally.
