And here I am thinking about that damn Hobonichi again…just when I thought I’d figured out what my planner stack would be….here we are. Hobonichi made me lie. I think Hobonichi wants to make a liar out of me. Actually, I really do. I have posted a video that has over 150,000 views saying that I'm probably leaving the Hobonichi world in 2027. And then they dropped this collection. I was stunned. Absolutely stunned. Holy shit. This collection is small, but it screams, it screams me in the most me way that Hobonichi has ever screamed. It does not have a, like, new cousin or anything like that. But it does have an A5 cover. I will say I love the cover so much, it's so beautiful, but I am not a cover person just because I like to change my mind and you spend that much money on a cover, you're kind of locked into it, and I'm sure people do that. I'm just not really interested in playing that game. However, turning to the "Starlight" Weeks, the entire cover of the techo looks like a single canvas. A mysterious moon is enveloped by a dreamlike universe, resulting in another beautifully realized design. Tanaka. This motif was originally created for a collection centered on the theme "Behind the MOON." We combined machine embroidery with hand embroidery to create the moon using beads and sequins. Which parts were created with machine embroidery, and which were done by hand? I fear that I need that biblically. I do. It is so stunning. It's very celestial, very witchy, very mystical, magical. I need that. I don't even use Hobonichi weeks. I've never been interested in that size. But today I am. Today I am interested in that size because, holy shit, it is so absolutely gorgeous. I am honestly very much considering purchasing that weeks plus my Sterling ink that I was planning on and using that weeks in another way. I don't know. Maybe it can be a media journal or a media tracker. I really don't know what I'm going to do with it. I don't know that I need a second planner. Maybe it can be a mood tracker. You can rest assured I'm going to be doing a deep dive on people that use their weeks not as a planner but as something else because I really don't know that I have the itch to buy that. Thankfully, I have some time to think about it. But man, is it absolutely stunning. And they have somehow managed to pull me back in.
