5 viral food spots in NYC worth the hype

As a foodie in New York City, I am guilty of trying things just because I saw it online. But that's sort of my job to tell you which ones are worth it. So here are five spots in New York City that I think are worth the hype. These affordable sushi boxes went viral earlier this year. This is Umeko and the fish is flown in fresh from Japan. It is so, so good and definitely worth it. This taco shop recently opened this year in the East Village and it's coming from Mexico City. They are known for their homemade flour tortillas and I definitely recommend getting the carne asada. And if you're lucky enough to grab a reservation here, Oresh was probably my favorite meal so far of 2023. No. 4 is Deluce, especially if you're gluten-free. Almost everything here could be made gluten-free, but even if you're not, I highly recommend the burger and the mozzarella sticks. And they also have a great spicy chicken sandwich. Spot No. 5 is Hani's Bakery and especially their chocolate chip cookie. I still need to make my way through most of their pastries, but they also have some delicious lattes.
