After sharing my first lot of tips, I thought I’d add a few more things we’ve learnt along the way because travelling with a toddler definitely teaches you as you go. 📱 Download everything before you leave. Shows, movies, little games and favourite songs. Don’t rely on airport or plane Wi-Fi because that will be the exact moment they decide they NEED their favourite show 🤦🏾‍♀️ 🎒 Pack a little toddler bag just for them. A couple of small toys, colouring, stickers or something NEW they haven’t seen before. I found bringing something new can keep them interested way longer. 👕 Always pack a spare outfit… and one for yourself! I learnt quickly that spills, accidents and toddler mess don’t only end up on them 🤦🏾‍♀️ Keep them in your carry-on, not buried in the suitcase. 🧸 Bring something familiar from home. Their favourite teddy, blanket or comfort item can make such a difference when they’re sleeping somewhere completely new. 📍 Screenshot important information. Hotel address, booking details, transfers and anything else you might need. Internet doesn’t always work when you need it, especially when travelling overseas. 🩹 Make a little travel first-aid kit. Bandaids, thermometer and the everyday essentials you normally use at home. Trying to find something in another country at 10pm with a tired toddler is not fun. 🧺 Take a few zip-lock bags or wet bags. Seriously underrated! Wet swimmers, dirty clothes, messy snacks, rubbish… you’ll find a use for them. 🍽️ Don’t stress too much about food. Sometimes they’ll eat beautifully and other days they’ll survive on fruit, snacks and three bites of dinner 😂 Holidays are temporary. I just make sure we have familiar options available. ⏰ Give yourself WAY more time than you think you need. Airports, getting dressed, packing the day bag, toilet stops… toddlers have absolutely no interest in your schedule 😂 ❤️ Most importantly, lower your expectations. You might not see everything you planned, and sometimes the best memories come from the random little moments you never planned at all. Travelling with a toddler is definitely different, but I wouldn’t change it. You just learn to slow down, prepare a little differently and enjoy seeing the world through their eyes. 🌎✈️ Part 3?
