I haven't bought a loaf of bread in the store for almost two years. I'm going to show you how to make the best sandwich bread ever. Now when you cut it, it doesn't crumble. My boy said that this is the best bread ever made. In October, it'll officially be two years since I bought a loaf of bread for my family. And this no-fail homemade sandwich bread is the reason why. It stays soft and moist, slices beautifully without crumbling, and my boys say it's the best bread they've ever had. My homemade sandwich bread: 2 cups warm evaporated milk, 1 tablespoon yeast, 1/4 cup honey, 1 teaspoon salt, 2 tablespoons melted butter, 3 to 4 cups bread flour. Whisk the warm evaporated milk, yeast and honey together and let sit for about 10 minutes until it's foamy. I know I've shared this bread recipe with you guys more times than I can count, but like I said earlier, my boys tell me all the time how perfect it is, and every single week they're asking me to make more bread so they can take it home. But I bought a couple new additions to my bread-making process, a container that will actually show me when my dough has doubled, and this beautiful new bread pan. I love it so much. So obviously, I needed an excuse to make another loaf. And what I love about this recipe, like I said earlier, it truly is perfect for sandwich bread. It's soft and it's moist, and when you slice it, it holds together, which is amazing. Nothing like having a piece of crumbly bread. So obviously, I needed an excuse to make another loaf.
