This was one of the aquariums we visited in Thailand, and we absolutely loved it 🐠🪼 There’s something about taking Kaimani anywhere with animals or sea creatures that I really enjoy. It’s such a fun way for him to see things in real life, learn as he goes and, when it’s allowed, even get the chance to touch and interact with some of them. I feel like kids take in so much more when they can actually experience it rather than just seeing it in a book or on a screen. Now can we talk about the jellyfish… 😍 Honestly, what I would do to have a jellyfish tank at home! They have to be one of the most magical sea creatures to sit and watch. The way they slowly float through the water almost looks like they’re dancing. Something I didn’t realise is that jellyfish have been around for over 500 million years, meaning they were here long before the dinosaurs! 🤯 They also don’t have a brain, heart or bones. Their bodies are made up of around 95% water, yet somehow they manage to survive in oceans all around the world. Another cool fact is that jellyfish don’t actually swim around like fish do. They pulse their bell-shaped bodies to move, but ocean currents do a lot of the work carrying them along. 🌊 There are also thousands of species of jellyfish, from tiny ones that are almost impossible to see to some with tentacles stretching several metres. Some can even produce their own light through bioluminescence, which just makes them even more magical. ✨ I could seriously stand in front of a jellyfish tank forever watching them. So peaceful, so beautiful… although I definitely prefer admiring some species from the other side of the glass 😂🪼 Aquariums are always going to be on our list when we travel, especially while Kaimani is little. It’s a day out for us, but at the same time he’s learning about this whole underwater world without even realising he’s learning. 🐠🌊🫶🏾🗺️ #aquarium #jellyfish #travel #thailand #wow
