What are your thoughts about free lunch for school-aged students? When I say free lunch, I obviously don't mean free, nothing is free in this world. I just technically mean taxpayer funded, right? We live in the state of Pennsylvania and in Pennsylvania, all kids are entitled to a free breakfast and lunch, no matter your income or your parents' income. Every child should be fed. But whether or not you have free lunch as well is really dependent on the school district you're in. Some years you may, some years you may not. Now, my personal belief, and I'm curious what you guys's thoughts are on this, is that to be perfectly honest, my opinion on this matter isn't completely black and white because I see every single side. I feel, you know, growing up, we were like lower middle class and I remember my mom pinching pennies trying to come up with lunch money for us because we didn't quite qualify for the reduced free lunch. So I can definitely see how free lunch could benefit that middle class family especially. Anyway, breakfast was dippy eggs and sausage for the girls. Lunch I kept it simple with dippable lunchables and then dinner I made meatloaf with rice, and we went and got Dairy Queen because I was craving some ice cream.
