Sued by a debt buyer? 👀 Before you panic, check the original credit agreement for an arbitration clause. A Motion to Compel Arbitration can ask the judge to move the dispute out of court and into arbitration. And when arbitration means additional costs and a different process, sometimes a debt buyer decides the case simply isn’t worth pursuing and dismisses the lawsuit. ⚠️ Arbitration does NOT automatically erase the debt or guarantee dismissal. Whether it makes sense depends on the agreement and your case. 📄 They bought the debt.
