ICONIC HSBC HQ TO CLOSE IN CANARY WHARF AND IT SIGNALS A BIG CHANGE..

This is iconic in the world, the headquarters of HSBC. But it's about to get knocked down and it signals a huge shift. Let me explain. The building has 1.1 million square foot, 45 floors, but they're closing down and moving to a smaller office in the city. In fact, this building will soon have halfway up it, the highest viewing decks in London, right at the top. And loads of tech companies will be in. And this just makes sense because if you look at the top 10 most valuable companies right now, nine of them are related. If you compare that to 20 years ago, nine out of 10 would've been banks and real estate companies. So here in Canary Wharf, just like many other parts of London, they are preparing for the entry of tech startups.
