If you've gotten engaged recently and you don't know where to start, here's four things I would do right now to start the wedding planning process. Coming from someone who's been engaged for two months and planning our December 2027 wedding. I already realized if you are engaged, everyone's probably already asking where's it gonna be, when is it gonna be, like details about it. We don't know. As someone who's been engaged for two months, I still don't know. Everyone's timeline is different, but here's just a couple tips that I did or wish I started sooner when starting the wedding planning process. Coming from someone who's been engaged for two months. I still don't know. Everyone's timeline is different, but here's just a couple tips that I did or wish I started sooner when starting the wedding planning process. 1. Start a wedding email. You're not gonna realize how quickly you're gonna use this. I started using this three days after we got engaged, just because I started to book wedding venue tours and just other little details. Getting set up from people. It's so nice to have everything in one email. Ours is just the Walsh's 2027 because we're gonna be married in 2027. And it's just kind of fun having your wedding date in your email, no matter what. I think it's kind of timeless, no matter what. To always have that that you could just do your last name or whatever kind of comes to mind. It's your email. So do whatever you want with it. But it's so nice having everything in one space. 2. Make a guest list. I would make a quick guest list. The Monday after I got engaged on a Saturday, me and my fiancé went to coffee before work. Just literally started spitting names out of people we definitely want at our wedding. It was nice to have just kind of like a base of our estimated guest count because you're gonna learn very quick. This is gonna determine your budget. All that kind of stuff. It's just a really good thing to have right from the jump. 3. Make or condense your Pinterest board. I definitely thought I was gonna have like my Pinterest board planned out ahead of time. But I had nothing up until the day we got engaged. I had no ideas, no thoughts of a wedding, anything like that. And if you know me, you're probably like, how in the world do you not have that? I'll figure it out already. But I didn't. So if you do have a Pinterest board, I would start like really honing in and really kind of like, maybe get out some of the old stuff. If you've had your Pinterest board literally since you were 10 years old, I would start going through there and just kind of like, maybe get out some of the old stuff you don't really love anymore. And then if you're like me, that you had no Pinterest board at all. This is a good start to kind of like understand your vibe and all that kind of stuff. So I think a Pinterest board is honestly so fun to go through everyone's wedding and stuff. So you can see what you want. 4. Plan your first date engaged!! Last but not least, plan a date with your fiancé. Whether you plan a date or he plans a date, whatever the case may be, plan a date to go sit down and really just take this time to take it all in because being engaged is so much fun.
