I need to talk about this Calloway ad because I saw it and I was like, who the fuck approved this? Because marketing is typically a field dominated by women. I said there's no way their global brand director, a man, their global vice president of marketing, a man, their creative director, also a man looking at their marketing team, there are women, but did anyone say anything? We forgot that women control and influence 85% of consumer spend for traditional male categories. It is 50%. Just so dumb on so many levels because in a world where brands like the NFL are attempting to expand to a Gen Z and woman audience, single. But as a woman with a backbone like my brother, my brother, my any man who in my life golf make it so abundantly clear, you are not to purchase from Calloway. Do you realize how many other women are purchasing for their husbands or their boyfriends or their family members, golf clubs, golf gear? As a woman who works in marketing at a men's brand, what was the approval process for that? Nobody is sitting there being like, wow, Calloway's new driver, that looks incredible. Everyone, even men sitting there thinking like, what what he just shoved that woman to the ground. I'm sure there's a lot of men sitting there laughing at it. The product is, the product is entirely secondary. That was not the point of the ad at all. Like this is so obviously there's gonna be people who are like, it's just an ad. Violence against women is a serious fucking issue. This is a brand associating itself with normalizing, making a joke of domestic violence. Like not seen something this stupid, I need to know the agency, I need to know who was behind this. Need to know how there is not one person and maybe there, maybe we shouldn't post an ad of a man shoving a woman to the ground.
