Just because I did it doesn’t mean I recommend it. 👀 Perming 24” Legally Blonde Christian Michael Genius Wefts was definitely a “proceed with caution” service. This color is BEAUTIFUL, but because the hair is so light, it is much more fragile and can be damaged very easily—especially when adding a chemical service like a perm. I did everything I could to help maintain the integrity of the hair: I prepped the wefts with K18 and added an Olaplex bonding treatment directly into the perm solution. Even with all of those precautions, I still needed to give the ends a healthy trim afterward. I absolutely LOVE how these turned out, but this is your reminder that just because something is possible doesn’t mean it’s always the best choice for the hair.
