I work in luxury handbags and here is part two of my favorite discontinued LV bags. Starting off very strong with the Artsy. The Artsy debuted in 2009 in two sizes, MM and GM. GM was discontinued one year after the release, but the MM lived for 10 years. Ask any Louis Vuitton person, they love this bag. It's a really large hobo bag and since the Galliera, since the Delightful, people have loved large LV bags. This one is even more loved because it has this gold LV dangly and the braided top handle. The Artsy also came in full leather and the full leather version, tens across the board. Look at this lovely slouchy shape of the Artsy. Although she's discontinued, of course, she can still be found on the resale market, but the Artsy on the resale market is definitely going to cost you over $1,000. Maybe like $12, $1300. Next, we have the Manhattan. The Manhattan came out in 2005 during the Marc Jacobs era at LV. I feel like the Manhattan is almost like a hoarder version of a Speedy, a grown-up version of a Speedy. It has a similar shape, same type of top handles, and then these extra pockets. This bag is very, very cute. One thing about the Manhattan though, it is heavy. And I do not like a heavy bag. The Manhattan was discontinued in 2010, so she had a pretty short life, but that's kind of what makes it even more special. You can find the Manhattan on the resale market for about like $600 and up. This is the St. Jacques. The St. Jacques is a bag from the 90s, but she wasn't discontinued until about 2010. So she had a long life. And I mean, I see why. The St. Jacques was the first bag that LV started to use Epi leather with, and it comes in a lot of bright leather colors. So this one is the perfect bag for someone who likes luxury, there's no monogram, there's no logo, there's no hardware, there's no buckles, there's no straps, just beautiful, strong, brightly colored durable Epi leather. All right, and the St. Jacques comes in the PM size and the GM size, but the PM size is the one you want, okay? It's hard to pinpoint when this bag was discontinued because it was kind of just quietly taken off the shelves. But the good news is you can still find this bag on the resale market, sometimes for as low as $300. Let me know in the comments what are some of your favorite discontinued LV bags?
