A powerful flood coming downstream from Rasuwa has caused major destruction around Trishuli Bazaar in Nuwakot, with dramatic video showing the force of the raging water. Authorities say around 60 houses in the Trishuli area were swept away, while bridges, hydropower facilities and other infrastructure were also damaged. Residents near the river had moved toward safer areas after receiving an early warning. The full extent of the damage is still being assessed as the emergency continues.
