THE SCHEDULE FOR BOYS THAT I SWEAR BY
💙
Boy moms know how important it is to "keep the day moving". If you don't, your boys will be crawling up the walls.
This isn't rocket science but it's a basic schedule format that keeps us from running into "peeling the paint off the walls" scenarios 😬

7:00 AM — WAKE + GRAB & GO ☀️
Get everyone dressed and give them an easy breakfast they can eat quickly.
Easy options:
🍎 Apple
🧀 Cheese stick
🥣 Yogurt pouch
Chomps
Breakfast bar
The goal is to get everyone fed + dressed without making a full breakfast yet.
7:30 AM — GET OUTSIDE ☕
You drink your coffee while they burn energy.
🚲 Bikes
🛴 Scooters
Trampoline
⚽ Play in backyard
Goal: Everyone gets fresh air before the day gets chaotic.
8:30 AM — REAL BREAKFAST 🍳
Now that they've burned some energy...
Make the real breakfast.
🧇 Waffles
🍳 Eggs
🥓 Bacon
🥤 Smoothies
🍓 Fruit
(Also they're usually much hungrier after being outside and by this time you've had your coffee and you're not scrambling around the kitchen without caffeine )
9:30 AM - 12PM — GET OUT OF THE HOUSE 🚗
This is your big activity window
🌳 Park
🧑🤝🧑 Play date
🥾 Nature walk
🦖 Trampoline park
🏛️ Museum
The goal here is to get out of the house before fights break out and things start getting broken 😅
12:00 PM — LUNCH 🍽️
Back home for lunch and a reset. After lunch is a good time to do a "mini activity" like a hot wheels track or magnatiles.
Then...
1:00-3:00 PM — REST TIME 😴
Naps
Books
Movie
Puzzles
Quiet activities
3:00 PM — EARLY DINNER. YES, I SWEAR. 🍝
My boys are the most hungry at this time and always want a million snacks. Then by the time we have dinner they aren't as hungry.
so instead (if it works with our day)
I feed them a real meal that is nutritious and filling.
Later they have snacks or another light dinner.
After this meal you can do a "mini activity" like sticker books or a sensory bin.
4:00-6:00 PM — BURN THE REST OF THE ENERGY 🔥
Back outside.
🌳 Backyard
🏞️ Park
🚶 Walk
⚽ Play outside
🚲 Bikes/scooters
6:30-8:30 — 2nd Dinner/ Snack, Baths + bedtime
After bath, make a fort with the nugget couch and give them flashlights to play with inside the fort.
This activity burns a lot of time if you have a window that needs to be filled before books + bed.
