here's some more potentially unethical careermaxing tips hey there, I'm Cloud and I'm a first generation corporate girly and it's my mission to democratize everything I've learnt so you can thrive in your career and all these tips benefit you, not your employer because here we are for the people no. 1 and this is advice I give to everyone in my life as well and it's to interview even if you have no intention of leaving controversially, the best time to interview for a job is when you're perfectly happy with your current job because that's when you start not out of desperation but out of opportunity if you're perfectly happy with your current job, you're gonna be looking for such a high bar when looking for new jobs and that's when you land the best opportunities versus looking for jobs out of desperation actually closes opportunities and makes you take roles that aren't actually good for you tip number two is to time your resignation so it financially benefits you, not your employer for example, if your bonus is paid in March, then maybe wait until after that if your stock vests in April, then maybe wait until after that and before you send a formal resignation, make sure you properly check the eligibility criteria for your stock, your commission, your bonus so you can leave the company with as many benefits as possible the next tip is so underrated and it's to befriend people who know everything and who can pull strings for you examples include executive assistants, chief of staff, operations people, receptionist these people can help you with scheduling things that would probably be a bit more difficult to schedule these people are often times overlooked, but they really understand how the organization works and they understand dynamics that you don't understand
