Sunday prep for my family of 6 to make my week with 4 kids that little bit easier. Here is everything I made on a Sunday to make my week run that little bit smoother. Hi, I'm Amy. I'm a mum to four small children and a wife to Sam. Last year my husband was diagnosed with cancer and it really made us rethink what we were putting into our bodies. So I decided to start removing ultra-processed foods from our home and making more things from scratch. I always start with my bread maker and this week I also made some homemade jam for my grandad's birthday as well as a batch of banana, peanut butter, oats which the kids absolutely love. I made a double batch of these and they lasted us two days. Then I washed and prepared all our fruit for our snack boxes. When I've got four children constantly telling me they're hungry, this goes straight onto the table and keeps them quiet whilst I sort lunch or dinner. I made one dump bag to get us through the week. I didn't go too crazy this week because we still had leftovers from camping. I also managed to get corn on the cob still in its husk and this is honestly my favourite. It reminds me so much of being in Turkey with my mum. We harvested some potatoes from the garden, so I made a potato salad and it was beautiful. For dinner I made a chicken sausage pasta and it was amazing. Look at that cheese pull. It cost me pennies and lasted us two days. And finally, my bread crusts. Last time I made garlic croutons, but this time I turned them into cinnamon French toast bites. They were absolutely delicious and I love turning something that would have ended up in the bin into something the kids actually love.
