Amazon Wrap Cardigan

Why it worked

The video leverages a common consumer desire for affordable alternatives to popular, high-priced fashion items. By directly comparing a well-known brand's product with a significantly cheaper option, it taps into the 'look for less' and 'dupe' trends, making it highly relatable and shareable.

Summary

The creator compares an Aritzia cardigan priced at $138 to a similar-looking wrap cardigan found on Amazon for $40. She details the fabric composition of both and highlights that three Amazon cardigans can be purchased for the price of one Aritzia cardigan.

Why would you buy this when you can buy that? Why spend $138 on the Aritzia Commuro cardigan? I think I'm saying that right. Fabric: 48% viscose, 31% polyester, 19% polyamide, 2% elastane. And this one's on Amazon for $40. It's 50% polyester, 26% viscose, 24% acrylic, and 20% polyamide. Means you can buy three of the Amazon ones for less than one Aritzia cardigan.
