If you’ve ever eaten chia seeds and thought, “Why does my stomach feel so uncomfortable and bloated? try hydrating them first. I prep my chia seeds once a week so they’re ready to add to smoothies, oatmeal, yogurt, or chia pudding without having to think about it. Chia seeds are packed with fiber, and when they’re hydrated, they form a gel-like consistency. For me, that makes them gentler on my stomach and helps me feel less bloated. The fiber can also help support steadier blood sugar and digestion. Here’s my simple weekly chia seed prep: ½ cup chia seeds 2½–3 cups water Add everything to a leak-proof glass container Shake really well Store in the refrigerator for 5–7 days Then I just scoop out what I need throughout the week. This little bit of prep makes it SO much easier for me to consistently get more fiber into my day, and in midlife, I’m all about making healthy habits easier to actually stick with. Save this for your next meal-prep day! #chiaseeds #chiaseedpudding #mealprepideas #highfiber #midlifewomen
