5 things I'm determined to do for my son and if I don't, I'll feel like I failed him. Number one, helping him pay for college. It is, unfortunately, ridiculously expensive. If you start saving from birth, even if it doesn't cover it all, you can make a serious dent. And I owe him that too. Speaking of college, while he's in college, that will be his only job. Number two, his only job in college is college. My wife and I are sending him to college so he can get educated, experience the world, build relationships, not stress about a phone bill. Number three, he's always welcome back home, whether that be after college, at 25 or 30. My wife will probably cry if he doesn't move back in after college, so it's safe to say he's always welcome. Number four, helping him get started in the world financially post college, whether that's helping with his first apartment, the down payment on his first home, his wedding, or things of that nature. My wife and I were able to do these things young because we had help. Now it is our time to pay it forward. No. 5. Last but not least, giving him access. I've spent my life building genuine connections and relationships with friends who are now doctor. There's lawyers, entrepreneurs, coaches at amazing universities, and professionals all across many different industries. I'm going to make sure my son gets into rooms, meets people, and understands the value of maintaining relationships the same way that I did, as always, stick to the script and stay true to the formula faith, family fitness and finance. The world is your oyster.
