Controversial ways we're raising our son. Starting off at number one. He's being raised vegetarian (for now). He is being raised vegetarian. Yes, he will be exposed to meat, but for now, he's healthy, happy, and has no idea what he's ingesting. Not really interested in your nutritional assessment of my child. He's doing just fine. I also competed as a Division 1 athlete with the vegetarian diet. We track his protein, iron, calcium & overall nutrition. Great diet if you do it properly. Next up, zero sleep training. 2. We didn't sleep train in the middle of the night. He knows his parents are right there for him. Safe, calm, and connected. 3. Co-sleeping. Co sleeping since he was about, when we were very comfortable that he could roll over and turn his neck if he needed to. Purchased a bigger bed so everyone could have more space. It's precious time that you will never get back. Next up, we pulled him out of daycare. 4. Pulled him out of daycare. We loved his daycare. It was awesome. It served its purpose to have my wife be able to stay home with him full time. We'll never get these years back. Also can save $3,000 a month now that he's not going to wake up and know that he's not going anywhere. Or to know that we don't have to rush out the door. That they're very intentional. 5. Intentional language about the language that we use. He's not a flirt. He's not your boyfriend. He's not a ladies man. He gets that all of the time. Let kids be kids. If you wouldn't say it about the opposite gender, maybe it's not an appropriate thing for you to say in the first place. These are things that work very well for our family. My wife and I are very intentional with the parenting of our child. As always, stick to the script and stay true to the formula. Family fitness and finance. The world is your oyster.
