Why it worked

The video combines a high-value, relatable financial incentive (cash back on groceries) with a simple, high-utility recipe, making the promotional app feel like a helpful tool for everyday savings.

Summary

The creator demonstrates how to use the ShopBack app to get cash back on a purchase of Kids Vegemite. She then uses the Vegemite to bake a batch of cheesy scrolls.

Structure

1Introduce the deal on Kids Vegemite
2Show the ShopBack app interface for claiming the bonus
3Demonstrate the recipe using the product
4Show the finished baked scrolls

Product placement

ShopBack: (a) ACTS — the creator demonstrates the app's interface, shows how to navigate to the receipt feature, and explains how to claim a cash-back bonus. Removing this would change the video's purpose. Kids Vegemite: (a) ACTS — the creator holds the jar, uses it as an ingredient in a recipe, and explicitly mentions it as the product for which the cash-back bonus applies. Removing this would change the video's content.
