In part two of changing the hydraulic fluid in a 1967 International 2504 industrial tractor, it's time to remove the hydraulic fluid filter and debris screen. The cover for the filter is located on the right side of the tractor and is held in with six 14mm bolts. It definitely needs a drain pan underneath it as a lot of hydraulic oil is still trapped in there. With the cover removed we can see just how badly the filter and debris screen are clogged up. I have no idea what all that tentacle-like gunk is in the filter, but it's very gross. It seems this tractor has needed a complete hydraulic fluid flush for a while now.
