As I was using the sawmill to mill some lumber the saw blade snapped in half. It got me thinking if it would be possible to simply weld the band saw blade back together. I use this Woodland Mills sawmill quite a bit, so it would be nice to know if I run out of saw blades I can just weld up a broken blade and keep things moving. Before we start welding though, we'll need to clean up each end of the blade to straighten them out and create an angle for our welding material to fill in. Then, we'll clamp down the ends to a step stone so we don't burn our sawhorse with the welder.
