Why it worked

This video likely performed well due to its "life hack" nature, offering a creative and budget-friendly way to create a custom scent using common household items. The "DIY perfume" aspect taps into the popular beauty and fragrance trends on TikTok, while the use of recognizable brands like Vaseline and Miss Dior adds an element of aspirational DIY.

Summary

The video demonstrates a DIY hack for creating a custom perfume by melting Vaseline, mixing it with perfume, and storing it in an empty deodorant stick. The creator then labels the stick with "Miss Dior" and places it in the refrigerator before applying it to their wrist.
