He just arrived at our shelter

His whole world changed overnight 🥺💔 For his entire life, 5-year-old Leo had one home and one family that he loved with all his heart. This sweet boy never imagined that one day he’d be starting over. But sadly, circumstances changed, and his owner was forced to give him up because they moved and no longer had room for him 😔 Now Leo finds himself in a place he doesn’t understand... Since arriving, Leo has been quietly keeping to his bed, closing his eyes when it all becomes too much 🥺 Despite the confusion and sadness he is feeling, Leo remains very affectionate and very friendly with our staff and volunteers. He loves people and simply wants to be close to them. In fact, he’s a bit of a couch potato who enjoys relaxing and soaking up all the love and attention you’re willing to give ❤️ When he’s feeling playful, you’ll often find him carrying around his favorite rope toy or playing a game of fetch. He enjoys spending time outdoors, stretching his legs, and having fun with his people.  We are told Leo is wonderful with kids, but because he doesn’t quite realize his own size, older children would be best. His former owner tells us Leo is good with other dogs and even cats, making him a fantastic candidate for a multi-pet household. This sweet boy is housebroken, gentle, and eager to please. He has excellent house manners and understands what it means to be part of a family ❤️ Leo has so much love left to give.
