Some dogs get overlooked because they look a little different ❤️‍🩹 Chickie has been waiting for over a month and it breaks our hearts that Chickie is still here waiting💔 This sweet girl is only 1½ years old and has already spent over a month in the shelter wondering when it will finally be her turn. 🥺Chickie was born with one leg much shorter than the others, and it had to be amputated. ❤️‍🩹She doesn’t know she’s different though. She runs around the play yard, enjoys her walks, gets around just fine on three legs, and is just as deserving of a family as every other dog in our shelter. Chickie can be a little shy when she first meets new people because shelter life has been overwhelming for her, but once she knows she’s safe, she’s such a sweet, affectionate girl who loves being petted and spending time with her people. 🥹She walks nicely on a leash, is fully potty trained, and would love a family that will be patient while she settles in. The only thing she’ll need a little help with is getting in and out of the car.❤️ Sometimes the dogs who are just a little different end up waiting the longest, and we hate seeing that happen to a dog as special as Chickie.
