Let's put the emissions argument against EVs to rest. MIT just did all the testing we need. Mining "white gold" and they included the mining. Thousands of zip codes down to individual drivers, battery manufacturing counted, fuel refining and shipping was counted. Building the battery is 100% dirtier, that part is true. Then you drive it and in most of the country a BEV cuts lifetime emissions 40 to 60 percent, even more in a city. And they tested the cold night thing too, North Dakota, which has brutally cold weather, efficiency dropped 50%. But over a full year, the effect on emissions was actually minimal. The researchers words: "Even in the most unfavorable conditions, EVs are still reducing emissions substantially." So dislike EVs, dislike their steering, dislike their brakes. Maybe you want a third pedal. I don't care. Repeating a talking point you haven't checked. I'm MoneyShift. Follow for all things car news.
