If you have lipedema and hate wearing shorts, please hear me: you are not doomed to stay where you are. 🤍 This is about 2 years of progress — without surgery. I still have lipedema, but I’ve learned how to work with my body instead of constantly fighting it. For years, I was doing HIIT and tons of cardio because I thought more intensity = better results. For me, it only seemed to keep my body more inflamed. What changed: ✨ More low-impact movement — walking, incline treadmill, stairmaster, dancing, etc. ✨ Consistent strength training to build the muscle underneath ✨ Focusing on whole, minimally processed foods and plenty of protein ✨ Significantly reducing alcohol ✨ Staying hydrated ✨ Lymphatic support like vibration, dry brushing & manual lymphatic drainage massages ✨ Supplements like Lipera (link in bio), Pycnogenol, and also 🌶️s for full transparency have personally helped me a ton with reducing pain and symptoms I didn’t have to eat perfectly or cut out everything I love. I just had to learn what made my body feel better, find the balance, and become consistent with it. And I want to be clear: this is my experience, not a promise that everyone with lipedema will respond the same way. But if you’ve been told that your legs are simply the result of not working hard enough, I hope my story gives you another perspective. Your body isn’t broken. You may just need a different approach. 🤍 #lipedema #lipedemalegs #lipedemalife #lipedemafighter #lipedemawarrior
