Six months. 👀 And before anyone says “but you just lost weight” — yes. I have. I’ve been in a calorie deficit, and I’m not going to pretend otherwise. But I’ve also been very intentional about how I’ve approached my lipedema symptoms, and these are 5 things I added consistently to my routine: 1️⃣ Strength training I lift 5 days a week, 2 of those being lower-body focused. I know that some people with lipedema find that certain types or amounts of exercise increase their inflammation. This is simply what works well for MY body, and I genuinely enjoy it. 2️⃣ Low-impact cardio I actually enjoy I dance, I walk on an incline treadmill, stairmaster, and I choose movement that I actually look forward to doing. Consistency > forcing yourself to do cardio you hate. 3️⃣ Vibration plate I spend about 10 minutes a day on my vibration plate as part of my lymphatic routine. It’s a small thing, but I’ve really enjoyed having it in my daily routine. 4️⃣ An anti-inflammatory, mostly whole-food diet Lots of berries, fruits and vegetables, foods rich in antioxidants, and generally prioritizing whole foods. I try to avoid foods with a whole paragraph of ingredients when I can — aka I’m usually shopping the perimeter of the grocery store. 5️⃣ Lipedema-focused supplements Lipera has been a game changer for managing my symptoms. It combines 17 different ingredients/supplements commonly used to support people with lipedema into one formula, rather than requiring you to buy 17 separate bottles. Fewer bottles, fewer capsules, and a much easier routine to actually stick with. The link to Lipera is in my bio (not sold on Amazon) And one more thing, because I want to be completely transparent about my journey: I have also incorporated 🌶️s. For me, they’ve been helpful in addressing things like inflammation and metabolic health on a deeper level, alongside the lifestyle changes I’ve made. This is my experience. Lipedema is incredibly individual, and what helps one person may not help another. I’m not promising that you can “cure” or completely change lipedema in six months. A lot can happen when you find a routine that works for YOUR body — and stay consistent with it 🫶🏻 #lipedema #lipedemalife #lipedemalegs #lipedemafighter #lipedemawarrior
