And there's two main tips that I want to share with you today. The first one I tried to avoid for a long time because it was kind of a pain in the butt, but it is watering with distilled water only! Or rain water or reverse osmosis water. But I already buy a big jug of distilled water from the grocery store anyway for my carnivorous plants, so I just use that for this plant. And it has grown a lot more lush and full. My second biggest tip is to give this plant a lot of light! My plant sits over here on my east facing window so it gets direct sunlight in the morning. I would recommend putting this plant direct in an east or west facing window sill. If it's a south facing window, you could probably get away with having the plant a few feet back from the window. But I would not recommend keeping this plant several feet back from windows. You're not gonna get this lush appearance and it's gonna be scraggly, spindly, have long stem with few leaves. Those are my two main tips for getting your plant to look like this and be beautiful. I'll also say I do fertilize every single time that I water. Right now I'm using the Schultz plant food. It doesn't really matter which brand. And then the second thing I'll say is this plant doesn't really seem to mind being root bound. As you can see, mine is pretty root bound right now. Has roots growing out of the bottom. And it is still thriving, it's putting out new leaves everywhere, it's flowering. So I wouldn't worry about constantly trying to keep up with repotting this plant. If it's root bound, it's still gonna thrive. It's putting out new leaves everywhere, it's flowering.
