Hook
Personally, I didn't find the jump from first to second year is difficult as I did A-levels. But even if you're nervous, my... self. Definitely start by looking at all of your feedback that you've ever received in any of the module from first year because that is your first step to success. I didn't realize how tight the marking is in second year and also expect the fact that they expect you to have more specialist knowledge. So any feedback that you could accumulate from things that you did, that's gonna be okay? That's gonna be what sets you up for the rest of this year. Because that hints didn't... So doing step. Secondly, I know it's really tricky and you, it, thinking what career you wanna go into. We're in this day and age where experience, even extracurricular, extracurricular side project, whatever you can do, thinking about that because your degree is passable but it's not everything. And what you actually gonna do to get to your preferred final destination? Is a... that is what stuck with me from a networking event in semester one of second year and I'm staying with that because if you're not gaining relevant skills which you need for your industry, then I think you're wasting the three years which you are uni. So by that, do you want to do a study abroad placement? Do you want to do a placement year? Are you trying to apply for spring weeks? Are you trying to apply for internships for the above? You need to put in some prep work for that. And I can do separate videos on it, but I do think that gaining anything better is better than nothing. So I know it's hard, trust me, I understand how... I'm easy, but at the same time, there's so many opportunities available. If in first year, you didn't really do any of that, so. Last reminder was more social as well, is actually that your friendships are going to change, that's so natural. I really hope you're living with people that you love right now and that you feel like you've bonded with. But I fell out with the person that I was living with that and that kind of lead... curse as people tell you, but actually, that's just normal. Sometimes you don't know people as well as you think you do. And second year... people actually with. Same worry. Like, end... change relationships, friendships, people come and go. The reality of life.
