A major hopeful development has emerged from the Trishuli–3A Hydropower Project rescue operation. Lawmaker and engineer Shriram Neupane said rescuers have established two-way communication with people believed to be trapped inside the tunnel. Nepali Army and Armed Police special rescue teams are continuing operations inside the tunnel as efforts intensify to safely reach those trapped following the devastating Bhote Koshi–Trishuli flood. Heavy machinery and specialised teams have been working continuously to clear mud, rocks and debris blocking access.
