So Dyson spent six years creating this new toothbrush. Um, and I think gifted equals positive reviews in any way whatsoever. But so many people were so impressed, and I kind of wasn't. So I bought it to test it for myself. So I can let you know my personal opinion. Do I think this £400 toothbrush is worth the hype? First things first. A £400 toothbrush is never gonna be worth the hype. There is absolutely no reason to be spending such a huge amount of money on something that simply doesn't need to exist. But there are more negatives to this toothbrush beyond the extortionate price tag. First of all, what do I like about it? Let's, let's be fair here. What I do like about it is that the toothbrush itself is a very good electric toothbrush. It feels very different, almost sonic like, in comparison to my usual, what do I have, like an Oral B electric toothbrush? With the mouthwash being used, my mouth felt fresh. My teeth felt nice and clean and smooth without any irritation to my gums. So what a normal electric toothbrush does when you use it as instructed. Positive's over. Let's get on to the many issues I have. First of all, for a toothbrush, the learning curve is way too much to deal with for something that cost so much money, that took so long to make. There shouldn't be too much to learn. So obviously it has a camera in here that scans your teeth and then coat shoots out mouthwash like a water floss as you are going along. And it is hard to get to grips with. You kinda have to glide this along your teeth like this as it, like, flosses. And that is actually how you are supposed to use a normal electric toothbrush. You guys just let it do its job on each tooth. But it doesn't work flawlessly. Sometimes it doesn't shoot out anything. You have to have it at the perfect angle. When you do get it, it spurts out everywhere. If you then close your mouth around it, the floss doesn't work for some reason. I don't know. Does it get too dark for the camera? There is a light on it. It is just not as seamless and easy to use as something that cost so much money. With Dyson's reputation, I thought it would be easier. It's not hard, it's just annoying. Second worst thing, the case it comes in is annoying. The whole thing is annoying. It comes with this little stand that you click on. Very, very nice, great storage. But that is its case. As you can see, I don't have it with me because I can't travel with it. I'm in a hotel at the moment. I'm gonna be travelling with my toothbrush, you just have to bring this view and it's fucking huge. It doesn't fit in any cosmetics bag that I have. This was always poking out the top. I don't. I can't figure out if I can take this bit off, which that goes over top of. I guess you can't, 'cause that's the water pick and the camera, so sticking out my bag is gonna break one day. It's so huge and inconvenient. The bit that you actually pour the mouthwash into when you're using this, this gets sticky because of the mouthwash. It is just not a nice experience in my opinion. Also, what's gonna be a uniquely British thing, I believe we don't have mains power in our bathroom. We have main shavers, which is what we plug our toothbrushes, water flosses, shavers into, etcetera. This comes with a USB C cable and that's how you charge it. So I have to keep my toothbrush in a different room, other in the bathroom, I guess in the bedroom. Like, where am I gonna charge it? Yes, I can walk from room to room, but it's annoying. It's just inconvenient. My toothbrush that I have now, which works perfectly fine, is in the bathroom along my water flosser, which works perfectly fine. And I can charge them in the bathroom. It's all in there, tidy together. This USB C, it doesn't make sense. And also there is a feature in the dock you fill it up with mouthwash, you push a button at the top and it refills this top bit with the mouthwash. But I can't do all that in my bathroom. I have to go to the other room where I'm charging it, get it ready, then take it back out. Then I'm gonna leave this in the bathroom and forget to charge it. It's just those real world use things that I feel like Dyson just didn't consider for a UK audience anyway. But also, what I think the biggest issue here is what dental professionals tell us, hygiene, I guess, is that you were supposed to floss, mouthwash, brush, right? Need that fluoride to work in your toothpaste. So Dyson actually say that their mouthwash and toothpaste can be used synlogistically together. I don't believe that people gonna keep buying that, that mouthwash. Once you bought this really expensive toothbrush, they then want you to keep using their mouthwash and toothpaste. It's not gonna happen. Feel like people gonna fill this with water like a normal dental flosser. So then using your toothpaste, then immediately rinsing it away is just not how you're supposed to brush your teeth, right? That's not the way to do it. I don't know, it is just. It's. It is just shit. It doesn't need. It is just shit. Like to take this opportunity to thank everybody who has been supporting me over the many years across my social media so I can buy expensive crap like this and give you a review. And also, Mister Dyson, pay your fucking taxes. I didn't realise until literally 15 minutes ago that that's a thing. He doesn't pay his fair share of taxes. Tax are rich. Don't buy this, it's shit.
