Industry insider Andy Robinson of Video Games Chronicle has said he believes Rockstar could move the GTA 6 PC release forward, and the reason is the current console hardware situation. Speaking on the VGC Podcast, Robinson said: "I do think they'll push the PC version up. There's a bit of noise about that. That perhaps the PC version might arrive sooner than some people might expect, just because of everything that's going on." The context is significant as PS5 prices hit $649.99 following Sony's April 2026 increase, Xbox Series X climbed to $799.99 in August, and GTA 6's Netflix Extended Look triggered a surge in console demand that has already caused stock shortages across the UK and US. Some PS5 Pro units are reportedly being resold for over $1,300. With a portion of potential buyers unable to afford or find a console, bringing the PC version forward would allow Rockstar to capture that audience rather than lose them entirely. Rockstar has not confirmed a PC release date or window. #grandtheftauto #rockstargames #grandtheftauto6 #gta6 #gamingnews
