You’re a self-aware pile of stardust piloting a skeleton through infinite space, and you’re still worried you were too loud at dinner. Incredible use of consciousness. Transcript

You're a ghost piloting a meat-covered skeleton on a rock, hurtling through infinite space at over 600,000 miles an hour. And you're worried that you're falling behind. Every night you leave your body, hallucinate for hours, forget almost all of it, and wake up as if nothing happened. You do this every single night and call it sleeping. As if that alone weren't completely insane. You are a collection of atoms that somehow learn to think about themselves, thinking to feel feelings, about having feelings to be conscious of being conscious. Do you understand how complex that is? You're a conscious universe folded into a temporary body for about 80 or 90 years. 4,000 weeks and you're going to spend some of those weeks worrying about whether you're too much, whether you're doing enough, whether you chose the right path. Dude, you're already a miracle that physics itself can't fully explain. The voice in your head reading these words while I speak isn't you. You're the one listening. Create weird things. Say the strange thought. Contradict yourself. You are literally made of stardust. Your atoms were forged in the belly of a dying star. The iron in your blood is ancient. The calcium in your bones was made in a supernova. You are literally made of reincarnated stars. And you're worried about pleasing everyone? You're already a living impossibility. Stop trying to be ordinary.
