There's a lot of people out there who are scared to ask for credit line increases because they don't know which banks do a soft pull and a hard pull. Chase is one of those banks that does a soft pull. I'm gonna show you exactly what to look for so you can see if you're eligible for a credit line increase. The very first thing you wanna do is obviously open up the app. And if you have one credit card, click on that one credit card. Or if you have numerous, click on any of the ones that you want an increase for. And for me, that's gonna be the Chase Freedom Unlimited. So once you clicked on whatever credit card you want an increase for, you're gonna see your available credit. And under your available credit, something that says "See offers." That is exactly what we wanna click on. On "See offers," you're gonna be prompted with two options. Credit limit increase for one, or move credit. We're focusing on the credit limit increase. Once you clicked on "Request credit," these are the standard questions that every credit card you're applying or just simply asking for a credit line increase. Total gross annual income, monthly mortgage or rent, you're gonna see fine print at the bottom. Don't pay attention to it, read it. A lot of people completely skip the fine print. The fine print is going to assist you into making sure you get a significant credit line increase. If you don't pay attention, probably a minuscule one. Your credit limit has increased. You can start using your new credit limit right away. It may take up to 24 hours for the new limit increase to show up on your account. Credit line increase. The moment you put your annual income, your rent or mortgage, if you get approved, this is exactly what it looks like. If you get denied, obviously they're gonna send you an email and a letter, and the mail is gonna tell you exactly why you got denied. Now, after closing and reopening the app, my credit limit was 13,800. Now it is 16,500. And it merely took me about 30 seconds to ask for a credit line increase, and there was no hard pull whatsoever.
