No telephoto, no optical zoom. The iPhone 18 Pro costs $800 less and gives you three cameras including telephoto. You're paying more for fewer lenses. ⚖️ IT'S HEAVY 254g versus the Galaxy Z Fold 8's 201g. That's 53 grams, and it's not a spec-sheet difference, you notice it in a pocket. 🎥 VIDEO CAPS AT 4K Samsung does 8K on the Fold 8. Apple counters with Dolby Vision at 120fps, which is genuinely good, so it's not a straight loss. But on the headline number, Apple loses. 🔓 NO FACE ID Touch ID in the side button instead. Every other flagship iPhone has Face ID. On Apple's most expensive phone ever, that's a step backwards. 🤳 THE INNER CAMERA Under-display, described only as a "FaceTime camera" doing 1080p video. Apple never published a megapixel count, which is unusual. They publish specs when the numbers are good. Under-display cameras are already the weakest camera on any foldable because you're shooting through pixels. ⚖️ TO BE FAIR On a foldable you can use the rear cameras for selfies since the cover screen gives you a preview.
